Beverley Town Football Club is helping promote Healthy Minds through their match kit.

Healthy Minds in East Riding information and support will be highlighted to thousands of families attending Beverley Town FC games in 2024 and 2025 through on the team’s match day kit.

Adam Gibson, Mental health and suicide prevention lead for East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: “Healthy Minds aims to encourage people to look after their mental health and seek support when they need it.

“It’s great that Beverley Town Football Club is raising awareness of mental health and promoting the support on offer, by adopting the Healthy Minds logo and QR code within their match kit. Whilst we know that there’s been positive increases in men seeking help around mental health, there is still more to do to enable all men to feel able to reach out for help. We are grateful to Beverley Town for helping to normalise and promote mental health.”

Ryan Nicholls, Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board Suicide prevention programme lead, said; “Living in Beverley, being a club coach and having my sons play for the club I was extremely pleased when they agreed to partner with Healthy Minds. Initiatives like this really help to further reduce any stigma around mental health. The possible impact this will have on bringing prevention and mental health to people’s minds is huge, this is from the children playing for Beverley, to the parents and fans attending each week, to the volunteers and players.”

Healthy Minds provides a range of support for people to improve their own health and wellbeing, and also information about how to support others. Anyone can find out more and seek support here: eryc.link/healthy-minds or though scanning the QR code on the sleeve of Beverley Town FC club kit!
